I do actually try to keep my political views out of my photography but I was in the pub and was struck by how the so-called "news" was actually just telling people what to think. No one was talking about their day, we were talking and thinking about what the television wanted us to talk and think about. Now why would the so-called Fourth Estate want us thinking about this unless it’s less about informing the public and more about entertainment and manufacturing consent for that which is actually morally repugnant? Sure, they put quotes around the word "cure" but it still sends a powerful message that homosexuality is something that needs curing. Cancer needs curing. The common cold needs curing. Influenza could use a cure. HIV could use about a billion more dollars world wide than it actually gets. Bigotry and xenophobia could use to be cured. Sexual orientation? No.
